PATRIOTIC RICE KRISPIE TREATS
July 4th is a national holiday that celebrates the independence of the United States of America. It’s a day for people to gather together and celebrate with fun, food, and friends and family! This delicious independence themed treat is perfect to celebrate with your family and friends. 🤩Â
Ingredients
2 packages of big marshmallows or 8 cups mini marshmallows
9 cups rice krispies
8 tablespoons softened butter
Red and blue food coloring
9×13 inch pan
Star shaped cookie cutter
Directions
In a large saucepan, melt the butter on low heat while slowly stirring in marshmallows. Once it is completely melted together, remove from heat.
Next, separate the melted mixture into three different bowls to add in food coloring and mix well to create different layers for our 4th of July themed treat. Leave one bowl without food coloring.
After you have all three colors, press each layer one at a time in the 9×13 inch pan. Make sure to wait 2 minutes in between layers to allow time to harden.
Finally, allow the rice krispie treat to set and then take a star shaped cookie cutter to cut out your patriotic desert, arrange them on a platter and serve.
