Miss Katie has been working with families, children, and childcare centers for over 22 years. Her roles have included teacher for infant to school age youth, director, family advocate, teacher mentor and coach. Katie has had training in several areas including autism, trauma informed care, behavior management, and social-emotional learning. In addition to her experience, Katie has a degree in Child Development and a degree in Human Services: Family and Child Welfare. Above all, Katie has a real love and passion for children and their families.
Katie’s goal as a director is to create the warmth and love of family for each child while enriching their experiences throughout the day here at Small World. She will strive to increase both academic and social emotional learning so that each child is ready to go out and thrive in all their endeavors.
