NO BAKE COOKIES

What’s better than being able to make cookies straight from the things that we already have in our pantry? Kids love to help in the kitchen, especially if it results in a yummy, tasty treat! This is a simple, kid friendly cookie that they will be sure to want to help make. With little work at all, together you’ll be on your way to enjoying this chocolaty – peanut butter treat!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter 

  • 3 cups old fashioned oats

  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

  • large pinch of kosher salt

Directions

  • Line a baking sheet with wax paper.

  • Bring the sugar, milk, butter and cocoa to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, then let boil for 1 minute. Remove from the heat. Add the oats, peanut butter, vanilla and salt, and stir to combine.

  • Drop teaspoon sized portions onto the wax paper. Let cool. 

  • Store any uneaten cookies in an airtight container.
