A LETTER TO YOUR FUTURE SELF

It is the beginning of a new school year, which means more learning and another year of growth. Oftentimes, we do not realize the amount of growth that happens within one school year. This activity is perfect to do at the beginning of school to track your progress when the year is over. Let’s write a letter to your future self. Parents, if the child/children are too young to write, you are more than welcome to help do the writing part for them.

Directions

  • Using the guidelines below, write a letter to your future self that you will open up and read at the end of the school year. After you’re done with the letter, you can decorate the envelope however you would like. Some people address it like a letter or some get creative and draw their favorite things, it is really up to you. Give it to your parent or keep it somewhere safe.

Guidelines

  • Create a greeting and a closing.

  • Use proper punctuation, grammar, and capitalization.
