Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats
What’s more wonderful than Rice Krispie treats? Chocolate peanut butter Rice Krispie treats! It’s the perfect dessert to include in a school lunch, give out at a party, or have after dinner time. Plus, who doesn’t love chocolate and peanut butter together?
My grandmother used to make these when I was a kid and they have always been a favorite at our house! If you’ve only had marshmallow Rice Krispie treats, you have got to try these and see what you’ve been missing in your life!

Ingredients
6 cups rice krispie cereal
½ cup peanut butter
5 cups mini marshmallows
¼ cup unsalted butter
1 ⅓ cups chocolate chips (8 oz)
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
Directions
Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter, peanut butter, and marshmallows on low heat. Continuously stir them until all melted together.
In a large mixing bowl, add in the melted mixture to your Rice Krispies. Stir until all of the Rice Krispies are coated in marshmallow mixture.
Press the Rice Krispie mixture into the pan. You can either spray a little non-stick spray on your hands or use a piece of wax paper to press the mixture into the pan evenly.
In the same saucepan used for the marshmallow mixture, heat up the chocolate chips on low heat. Stir continuously to prevent burning.
When almost fully melted, add the vegetable oil and continue to stir until completely melted.
Pour the chocolate over the Rice Krispies, smooth the chocolate over the top.
Let cool at room temperature, the chocolate will harden as it cools. (about 2 hours) Cut and enjoy!
