FLOUR STRESS BALL CRAFT

With the new school year under way, it is possible that stress will follow. Usually, the amount of stress children feel at school can be eased with a simple distraction. This DIY stress ball is easy to carry around in a backpack or can be easily stored in a desk, in arms reach for those stressful times. All you have to do is sit with it in your hand and squeeze. As my kids would say, “It’s so satisfying.”

Trust me, it works. Let’s get started.

Supplies Needed

  • 12 inch balloon

  • Flour or rice

  • Funnel or empty water bottle

  • Pen

Directions

  • Before you start, blow up the balloon and let it deflate. This step is important to help ease the process of transferring the filler.

  • Pull the opening of the balloon over the tip of the funnel or around the drinking part of a water bottle. If you choose to use a water bottle, cut the bottom half off to allow the flour to transfer easily.

  • Fill the funnel with flour until the balloon is full. If you are having trouble getting the flour into the balloon, use a pen to push it through.

  • Carefully remove the balloon from the funnel or bottle, and tie it shut. This creates your stress ball.
