EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM
During summer kids are usually outside playing in the backyard, riding bikes, or drawing with chalk. Dirt cups with gummy worms are the perfect snack to surprise kids with after playing outside. It also makes a very easy party dessert with little clean up.
Ingredients
2 cups heavy cream
1 box instant chocolate pudding
1 package Oreo cookies
1 bag gummy worms
Directions
Follow the instructions on the instant chocolate pudding box. Substitute heavy cream for the milk. This provides more of a mousse texture after mixing together.
Next, put plastic wrap over the bowl and place in the refrigerator for five minutes. Once the timer is up, remove the plastic wrap and stir once more to get a thick consistency.
Divide the mousse into smaller bowls and set to the side.
Now take one package of Oreo cookies and put them into a zip lock bag. Crush the cookies till it starts to look like dirt.
Divide the crushed cookies on top of the mousse cups. Top off with 3 to 4 gummy worms. Serve with a spoon and enjoy.
Tips
Dirt Cake Alternate Recipe
Crush Oreos on the bottom of a cake pan.
Pour mousse over the top.
Cover pudding with crushed Oreos and top with gummy worms.
Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Ready to serve.
