HIIT WORKOUT FOR KIDS
7 Minute HIIT Workout for Kids
While being stuck in the house, a lot of pent up energy gets stored inside our bodies that can make it more difficult to completely relax and rest. This activity is good to do before putting your kids down for a nap or before bedtime. This is a fun work out routine; to not only work out, but let their imaginations flow while pretending to be these seven different animals.
Time: 45 seconds for each animal
- Star fish: Stand with your legs shoulder width apart and raise your hands high in the air and start jumping up and down (jumping jacks).
- Elephant: Stomp your feet on the ground as fast as you can. Try to get your knees as high as you can while doing this (high knees).
- Gorilla: In a squat position, reach your hands out as wide as you can and start shuffling your feet side to side.
- Cheetah: Run in place as fast as you can!
- Bear: Put your hands and feet flat on the ground with your hips in the air and walk left to right.
- Frog: In a crouched position, hop up and down like a frog.
- Crab: While sitting down, place your palms on the ground behind you, lift your hips and crawl on your hands and feet.
At the end of your workout, lay completely flat on your back with your hands stretched over your head. Breathe in for four seconds and breathe out for six seconds. Do this until you feel completely relaxed.
