Melted Snowman Bark

With Christmas being so close, our schedules are full of parties with friends and family. The parties are always filled with delicious food and yummy treats! It is always fun to try a new recipe, especially a festive and cute one! I can assure you, this treat will soon be your go to Christmas treat!

Melted Snowman Bark

Ingredients

  • 1 bag white candy melts

  • 12 Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups

  • Big Marshmellows

  • Pretzel sticks

  • Mini M&M’s

  • Black Cookie Icing

  • Orange Cookie Icing

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with wax paper.

  • Using a pair of kitchen scissors, cut each marshmallow in half. Unwrap each peanut butter cup and use a sharp knife to cut the peanut butter cups in half. Break pretzel sticks in half.

  • Melt white candy melts in a glass bowl according to package directions. I usually microwave the candy melts in 30 second increments and stir in between. You want to be careful not to overcook or burn your candy melts – it can happen quickly. You’re looking for a nice “pour” consistency off the spoon.

  • When candy melts are ready, spoon about 2 tablespoons of melted candy onto wax paper, making a “melted snowman” shape. I made a circle and then pushed out some of the sides to make more “melted” look.

  • Carefully set your half marshmallow near the center of the melted snowman. Add a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup half in place for the hat. Then add three mini M&Ms for the buttons, and two pretzel sticks halves for arms.

  • Once your melted snowman has dried and hardened, use the black cookie icing to make the eyes and the orange cookie icing to draw a small pointy triangle for the nose.

  • Dab dots of white paint around the tree to make snow falling.

A special thanks to our friends at Kim Schob for this fun craft.
