COVID-19 Letter to Parents March 16, 2020
March 16, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians,
With the Governor’s announcement on Friday to close Utah’s public schools for the next two weeks, we want to again reassure you that we will continue to remain open until instructed otherwise from our local health officials.
*We are requesting that our families with school-aged children, that have the ability to provide a safe, adult-supervised environment outside of our centers, to please arrange for these accommodations as soon as possible. If alternate care is not available for school-aged children, we will continue to care for them.
Beginning Monday, March 16, we will be taking the additional precautions at the centers:
- In an effort to reduce the potential exposure to Covid-19 in our facilities to the greatest extent possible, parents will be required to check their children in at our reception desks. Staff members will assist your children to their classrooms. Parents will not be allowed to walk their children to their classrooms.
- All children will wash their hands upon arrival at our centers and regularly throughout the day.
- To avoid larger groups, we will be limiting access to our playgrounds to only one class in a specific area at a time.
If your child is ill or has a fever upon arrival, Small World reserves the right to not allow them to attend. It is our responsibility to keep the children in our care safe and healthy. If your child is sick, please keep them home. This is a community effort and we need our parents support.
As always, we will keep you informed as things change or new information becomes available.
Sincerely,
Small World Management
