Program Details
Teachers shape their lesson plans based on the developmental age of the children, but also on the children’s individual needs. We believe children learn as they experience many new ideas and adventures. Therefore, we go out on field trips to allow the children first hand experience in their learning. Trips to the Zoo, Wheeler Farm and Tracy Aviary are just a few of the many excursions planned each year. Circle times are held each morning and afternoon to allow for story time, music and games. Show and Tell is held each Friday allowing children to share a very special item with their peers. Parents are encouraged to speak with their child’s teacher daily. Progress reports are sent home twice during the preschool year to let parents know their child’s development.

It is our objective to help each child become comfortable with themselves, others and their surroundings. Each classroom is designed to help children make choices in their learning. By choosing from Dramatic Play, Large Blocks, Table Toys, Library Corner and the Art/Writing Centers, children are encouraged to learn through play. Additional learning centers such as Science, Sensory, and Computers are added based on the age group.

We have been teaching children from 12 months to 12 years old for the last 30 years. We offer Spanish lessons for 2-1/2 year olds and up, once a week for 30 minutes. In the summer we offer swimming lessons off site. We also have Summer Camp and Splash Days on Fridays.
